At 8:38 pm, the Washington Township Fire Department was dispatched for a reported house fire. Soon after the dispatch, the first unit on scene gave an update reporting a fully involved working structure fire. Upon arrival, command established a second alarm and gave the order for defensive operations. All occupants were safely out of the house. Within 45 minutes, the fire was knocked down. Mutual aid companies from Budd Lake, Tri-County, Netcong and Chester were requested and assisted at the scene. EMS from Budd Lake, Long Valley, and the Morris County OEM EMS Task Force were also at the scene. Washington Twp. Police are investigating the cause of the fire.
