At approximately 19:24 hours Tuesday night, Washington Twp. Fire Companies were dispatched to 18 South Four Bridges Road for the report of a structure fire. Upon arrival, command was established and notified all responding units of a confirmed working fire showing from the second and first floor. A second Alarm was shortly requested after the initial size up. The first units to arrive on scene quickly began an initial attack. The bulk of the fire was knocked down within thirty minutes after the initial attack and fire crews began putting out hot spots which remained in the structure. The fire was deemed fully extinguished at approximately 21:20 hours and crews began overhaul. The fire was deemed unsuspicious and was due to a mechanical issue. Mutual aid fire companies from Chester (Engine), Flanders (RIC), Budd Lake (RIC), Califon (Backfill), Tri-County (Backfill), and Brookside (Backfill) responded. Additionally, the County Coordinator, Long Valley EMS, Long Valley Rescue Team, and Hackettstown Regional EMS assisted at the scene.
