Long Valley firefighters tested their nozzle skills at numerous barrel fights this year. Firefighters competed in several barrel fights in Morris, Hunterdon, and Warren Counties against 30 teams from different departments. Firefighters from Long Valley placed in the Top 5 in a few competitions and won one of the barrel fights. A barrel fight provides excellent training which consists of nozzle skills, back-up skills, and hose advancement skills.
