“At an early age, children notice for the first time that big, red, loud, fire engine as it roars down a street. Like every kid, it is love at first sight!" Unless one is a firefighter, not many people get the chance to ride in a fire truck and experience lights and sirens first-hand. But last month, the Long Valley Fire Company raffled a fire truck ride to one lucky student from each elementary school in Washington Township at the Trick Tray Fundraiser. The lucky winners from Flocktown/ Kossman Road School, Cucinella School, and Old Farmers Road School got to ride in the fire truck to and from school this past week. The kids got to ride with several firefighters (and their parents) and experience lights and sirens when pulling into the schools. Everyone had a blast!
