Yesterday afternoon, Washington Twp PD was notified of a car crash on West Mill Road past Beacon Hill Road. Long Valley Fire, EMS, and Rescue Team were dispatched, shortly after, to the scene for reported entrapment with the car on fire and live wires down. Long Valley Chief 2 and Captain were the first to arrive and updated responding Engines 1-1 and 1-2 that there were live wires down across the car with the occupant still inside but no fire. Crews had to wait for the power company to arrive before they could get the driver out and clean up the area. All Long Valley Fire apparatus were needed and used at the scene and additional mutual Aid was requested for Califon Fire (Hunterdon).
