On March 15, the Washington Township Police Department, Fire Department, and Long Valley First Aid Squad received notification of four vehicles on fire in a parking lot off Route 46. Upon arrival, PD confirmed that four vehicles were actively on fire in a rear storage lot and the fire was beginning to spread to the rear of the structure. Schooleys Mtn was first to arrive and began extinguishing the blaze followed by Long Valley Engine 1-1 and Hackettstown Fire. Crews quickly went to work assisting Schooleys with extinguishment and the fire was placed under control after 30 minutes. Crews from Long Valley Engine 1-2 and Cascade 1-3 also assisted in extinguishment and overhaul.
