The Fire Company was dispatched to Rock Spring Park on East Springtown Road this afternoon, July 3rd, for a Landing Zone due to an overturned dump truck on Flocktown Road. While en route to Rock Spring Park, Long Valley Engine 1-1 was requested to respond to the scene of the accident on Flocktown and crews from Long Valley, Fairmount, and Schooleys Mountain Fire Companies went to work containing an active fuel leak and assisting the Long Valley First Aid Squad. The truck was uprighted and the scene was cleared within 2 hours. The driver of the truck was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The road remained closed for a short time afterward.
