Firefighters made quick work at a fire this morning at 290 Schooleys Mountain Road. Firefighters were alerted to a report of smoke coming from the chimney and someone trapped inside. Schooleys Chief 1 arrived first and updated responding units a working fire, and all persons out of the house. Schooleys Quint 3-9 and Long Valley Engine 1-1 arrived shortly after and doused the flames before it could spread to the rest of the home. One cat was rescued from the home.
