Last week, Long Valley Fire was dispatched with first aid squad and rescue team for a motor vehicle accident on West Mill Road. Engine 1-1 and Cascade 1-3 arrived shortly after the dispatch and found a single car off in a ditch. The vehicle crashed through a utility pole before landing upright in the ditch. Crews cleaned up the scene and removed the vehicle after a police investigation. The driver was charged with a DWI and all units left after 3 hours.
