On November 14, Washington Twp Fire Companies were alerted of a structure fire on West Mill Road with flames visible from the road. On arrival of the first unit, smoke and fire was discovered inside of a grain silo. Long Valley Engine 1-1 followed by Fairmount Engine 2-1 quickly worked to contain the fire and began overhaul. With limited accessibility to the interior of the silo, a crew of only 4 could operate effectively. Other units on scene were Fairmount Engine 2-2 and Tender 2-7, Schooleys Quint 3-9, Long Valley Cascade 1-3 and Engine 1-2, and EMS units.
