The Fire Company was dispatched to West Mill Road earlier this evening at 6:03pm for a car vs pole. Fairmount Chief arrived first followed by Engine 1-1 and Cascade 1-3. Crews cleaned up the scene while Long Valley EMS tended to those involved.

9/11 Memorial Service

Roxbury Fire Department Celebrates 100 Years

This past weekend, Long Valley and Schooleys Mtn fire companies participated and showed our support for Roxbury Fire department's 100 year anniversary. Fairmount Barrel Fights

Last month, a barrel drill was held behind the Fairmount firehouse. Long Valley, Califon, Oldwick, and Chester Fire companies all participated. A barrel fight provides excellent training which consists of nozzle skills, back-up skills, and hose advancement skills.

New Hose and Training

Last month, the fire company loaded new hose and employed a different style hose lay on Engine 1-1. Firefighters trained in deploying this lay and found the different style is faster and simpler to deploy.

Clinton Memorial Day Parade

Firefighters from Long Valley and Fairmount Fire Companies attended the Memorial Day Parade in Clinton last month. More than 100 fire departments attended the parade from around the state.
