This past weekend, Long Valley and Schooleys Mtn fire companies participated and showed our support for Roxbury Fire department's 100 year anniversary. Recently, Long Valley has had several car crashes in town including a vehicle that crashed on Zellers Road. The driver of the vehicle was under the influence of alcohol and after driving across several properties, the driver crashed into a tree. Earlier this month, the Fire Company was dispatched to "Big Turn" on Schooley's Mountain Road at 09:07 in the morning for an overturned dump truck full of hot asphalt. Firefighters from Long Valley and Fairmount Fire Companies attended the Memorial Day Parade in Clinton last month. More than 100 fire departments attended the parade from around the state.
